Self-shooting Assistant Producer with journalistic background and a passion for people, detail and storytelling. I love TV as a medium that allows us to reflect on human experience and explore our connection to the world around us. I want to be part of creating programming that inspires, excites and informs audiences through fresh formats, innovative storytelling and ground breaking access. In my spare time I love travelling to places that are distinctly different from what I know and have so far enjoyed trips to Morrocco, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Zambia, and South Africa.
Nov 2014 – Sep 2015 Channel 4 Talent Trainee, Channel 4 & Think Bigger
1 of 10 trainees chosen from over 3,000 applicants. In-house mentoring and paid placement as a researcher with a production company for 12months. Monthly training sessions with industry professionals at Channel 4 including: legal & compliance, advance research skills, production health and safety, self-shooting & editing.

On location researcher. Assisting DP/AP with children and equipment and keeping to time. Anticipating/being aware of any developing stories whilst on location (capturing a lot of actuality) and informing PD/AP.
May- Aug 2015 Researcher, CBBC Officially Amazing Series 4 + 5 (Lion Television)
Officially Amazing is a Guinness World Record breaking show that won best children’s programme this year at RTS Scotland. In office and on location researcher providing support to AP & SP. Liaised with contributors, booked locations, researched & fact-checked world records.
Mar- May 2015 Researcher, BBC2, Big Dreams Small Spaces Series 2 (Lion Television)
Working on the 2nd series of Big Dreams Small Spaces; gardening series presented by Monty Don. In office casting researcher. Assessed and suggested potential contributors to series producer. Shot taster tapes. On location researcher – release forms, driving, setting up kit, looking after crew and talent. Shooting GVs.
Jan- Mar 2015 Researcher, BBC1 Homes Under the Hammer (Lion Television)
In office: Preparing briefs, researching properties and areas, speaking to contributors, booking estate agents, building a story & liaising with PD.
On location: Assisting PD, shooting GV’s, walk-ups & walk-arounds, lighting property using panel & kino lights, checking legal/compliance issues on location, obtaining consent from contributors & third parties.

Liaising with producers and executive producers to discuss ideas and research. Contributing to brainstorms and daily cuttings meeting, writing up talent notes, research notes, writing access emails, carrying out phone research, reading and summarizing useful information from books/journals.

Short film Producer & Volunteer
Working with the Book Bus charity in Livingstone, Zambia to create short promotional films to highlight the importance of the work they are doing overseas to interested audiences and future volunteers in Britain. Decided on a series of three shorts highlighting different aspects of the project from unique perspectives to showcase benefit and impact not only for the children they work with but the wider community and the volunteers themselves..

Commissioned to make a number of short backstage films over the summer period to promote the International Festival. Required to locate contributors, produce story boards and edit footage. Basic training on using Sony EX3 cameras.
